If you followed our coverage of the North American International Auto Show, or you just keep up with car news, you've probably heard of the Scion FR-S.
If not, you can watch our review here, but it suffices to say that the much-anticipated rear-wheel drive sports coupe is going to make a solid impression upon release. As for those of us who can't, or wont wait around for late spring when it's set to sell: Toyota has announced that a handful of lucky buyers will get the chance to own one right away. How?
The special "First 86″ program, named after the Toyota GT 86, which is what the car is called outside North America, will help put drivers in the driver's seat asap. Scion has launched www.scionfirst86.com, a website where a lucky few will submit an application for a chance to own an FR-S before the official release late this spring.
There's no doubt people will be cramming the virtual queue between 12:00 p.m. and 8:06 p.m. EST, the only hours the site will function, in the hopes of wowing everyone they drive or drift past for the next few months. The site will feature the chance to pick color, transmission and dealership, but that is all.
