Default I'm the first

I guess I get to be the first to post on the xD forum. We got our new xD just about a month ago. Two weeks after we got the car a lady ran a red light and wiped out the front right corner of the car. We have not seen the car since. It is in the body shop I hope they do a good job it is suppose to be about 7000 bucks. I'd like to ask the insurance company for diminished value but not sure how much that should be. Any suggestions?

Jim

if the cost only 7000 to fix the car, your insurance will pay for the damage,

My insurance will pay nothing, it was not our fault. The other persons insurance finally totaled the car. Could not find another xD in town so now I'm a Altma owner.

Default Best to use an attorney to file a diminished value claim

To file a diminished value claim with an insurance company, it's generally best to have an attorney who specializes in diminished value claims help you file the claim. (See MyCarLostValue.Com.) An attorney who has filed hundreds of claims can give you a pretty good estimate what you can expect, and they can help you maximize the amount you actually get from your insurance company.
